The Harting Minibus is operated by Harting Minibus Community Interest Company.
Everybody involved is a volunteer; we have no paid staff. As a result costs are minimised,
and with the help of funding grants from West Sussex County Council, together with various fund
raising activities, fares are kept to a minimum.

Due to very few, or indeed no passengers using the Wednesday and Friday afternoon services to Petersfield, these runs will cease as from the week commencing
February 26th 2024. We still operate the popular runs to Chichester on a Tuesday morning and the morning runs to Petersfield on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Do encourage friends to use the services of your local community bus.

Fares
The adult return fare to Petersfield is £4. Children and students in full-time education travel at half price.
Concessionary Bus Pass holders travel free on production of a valid pass.
Fares may vary in the future.
We are taking part in the national
'Pay less to travel Scheme'
capping single fares at
£2 from January 1st
until October 31st 2023. This means that the single fare to Chichester will be £2 and the return £4. The current Petersfield fares are unaffected.
Parking
In Petersfield we park in a dedicated parking bay in Barnham Road, adjacent to the Waitrose car park. In Chichester we park behind the Marks & Spencer store in East Street. Vehicles are not accessible by passengers between arrival and departure from the destinations.
Minibus Hire
When not committed to scheduled services, Harting Minibuses (both seat 15 passengers) are available for hire by individuals and organisations based within the Parish of Harting. We can ask for a volunteer driver from our pool of approved drivers or you can provide a driver with a suitable driving license who can go through our approval process. Contact the

to make a reservation. One such private hire is the morning and afternoon use of the buses by the
School Run
for taking school children to and from The Petersfield School (TPS). If you would like further information, please contact the school run representative or deputy (see Contacts).

Minibus Lottery
Even if you do not use the Harting bus yourself, please support it by joining the
Harting Bus Lottery. Generous cash prizes are awarded five times a year. We have a team of collectors and one of them will be glad to call on you. If you would like to take part, please call the lottery manager.
School Transport Service
Harting – TPS – Harting
HMCIC run a home to school transport service for pupils attending
The Petersfield School. For pupils residing in the Parish of Harting the service is funded by WSCC.
This service is also available to TPS pupils living in the surrounding area, at a cost of £8 per week, with buses only departing from Harting.
